5Reasons why Prayer is so Important

1. Prayer opens the heavens over me
Luke 3:21
2 Chro 7:13-14
You must have a open heaven over our lives.

2. Prayer Brings the Presence of the Holy Spirit to Me
Acts 2:2
Rushing wind
Romans 8:26-27 - Holy Spirit teaches us what to pray according to the will of God.
(more prayer -> more you know God,Wisdom of God)
It is not about talents and abilities but is being dependent on the Holy Spirit.
James 1:5
Ask of God

3. Prayer makes me more and more like God
Luke 9:28-29
Glory of God came upom him
Difference -> Presence of God
Purpose of God -> Romans 8:29
Represent Christ in your school
matured -> led by the spirit

4. Prayer breaks the stuborness of my rebelious flesh (sinful/fallen)
Romans 7:18 - (self centered)
Matthew 26:38-41 - flesh is weak
Romans 8:5 (spirit ->stronger then flesh)
Prayer is so important.
Breaks the flesh in your life.
Prayer is a holy discipline (no short-cut)
Hebrews 12:11[painful] harvest of rightoeness
We need to discipline our disires
Physical -> appetite,emotions & moods
John 17:19 to satify means to discipline yoursleves to set yourselves aparts for God's purpose in your life.
Mark 1:35 - step out of the comfort zone
Matthew 14:23
Always give thanks to God
